English
This website covers a conference where German language is
admitted. Therefore, only pages of interest to authors, speakers,
or committee members may be available in an English version
-- we do have non-German speaking speakers. The navigation
bar of the English homepage may have less items than the German
one.
A page which does exist in more than one language has a flag
symbol at the bottom of the navigation bar as a shortcut
to the translated page.
Website "www.netobjectdays.org" online
This website went online on February 29, 2000. Visitors,
please expect a number of incomplete pages and broken links
in the beginning - especially in the English language section.
We are improving on this....
Gray links
Links in gray color represent links that will exist in the
future. You will therefore (hopefully) navigate more easily
on this changing site. Note however, that grey links actually
do appear as ordinary links when support for Cascading
Style Sheets (CSS) was disabled.
Netscape Navigator
You may already have noticed the problems of Netscape Navigator
4.x with Cascading Style Sheets. We assume You so far gave
priority to function over form ;-) It is also true that a
browser capable of CSS (such like Internet Explorer or Opera)
render these page much nicer.
On slow computers, it may actually take a while to display
a page after it is loaded. This is pure computing time Navigator
takes to render CSS. Disabling Javascript and hence CSS overcomes
this problem.
Internet Explorer
No known problems. You may use the popup menues to directly
navigate to a submenue item. Please, do not cross another
navigation button when doing so.
Opera
No known problems.
Lynx
No known problems.
JavaScript
This website is fully functional without JavaScript, Java,
or Cookies. You may, however, miss some navigational sugar.
It is worthwhile to mention that for reasons known by others
only, Netscape Navigator 4.x after disabling support for JavaScript,
completely fails to support CSS at all! This results
in very ugly-looking page layouts, still with full content.
